Correct. You need something that can target anyone's, or can only target a creature an opponent controls. By the time you pick targets, they are controlled by an opponent.

Remember legacy oops? It kinda has legacy oops vibes. Its not just fast, it's fast in a way that's very tricky to interact with. It really messes up play patterns in the early game and can play through a lot of hate consistently on T2.

Red always gets the worse blue effects. We can't even draw a card in red. It's just exile "draw", and you usually have to jump through hoops even to get that. Still a diehard monored player, but it's frustrating.

And yes I still included some cool old gold border cards for my friend's kid's casual deck. But I kept the Dystopias 😝

So I spent the evening unsleeving paper-proxies and scanning the cards underneath. Lots of $5-10 cards. I ended up with a little over $500 in CK buylist from my proxy box 😂

So I picked out some thematic black cards to toss into the deck. Just to be sure tho, let's fire up the ol' tcg app....... Wait, Dystopia is HOW MUCH?? Apparently these are legal in premodern? And reserved list. Soo..... $$.

Now I also found a casual deck that I never play. It's chaff too, picked clean of value cards a while back. But a friend's younger son just started casual EDH, so why not pass it along? It was missing some cards tho, so I'd need replacements. Oh, why not some of these gold cards? That'd be cool!

That got me thinking - Is anything else good hidden in my paper-slip proxies? Probably not. I picked an old box of gold border championship cards back in the day. There were no cradles etc and I picked it for other value long ago. So this was just old, cool, chaff that I used for proxies. 2/x

Story time!!! I cleaned my office today, and of course stumble on random cards here and there. Buried on my desk was a paper-slip proxy, which I desleeved only to find - a real old border Panharmonicon underneath. Not a huge find, but a $7 card I wanted and didn't know I had. Score! But... 1/x

I don't think their feelings should be considered one way or another when making ban or unban decisions. Do what's best for the format. That's honestly the best comeuppance imo. For me that means jLo can come back, crypt maybe, Nadu hopefully never, and Dockside never ever ever.

I'm not sure what to tell you then. Bans are for the betterment of the game. Not sure what other metric you would use than that. Secondary market cost isn't really a consideration for how fun the game is, especially since it's so subjective. I think I'll leave it at that tho. Have a good night!

Very few things should be banned. This that are a net-negative for the play experience for most players, sure. But price doesn't factor into that metric. Some should-be-banned cards are very cheap. Some super fun casual cards are absurdly expensive. That's MtG.
