Thematically speaking, the most important thing Terry Pratchett taught me was the concept of militant decency. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premiered yesterday, and I really like it. Captain Ake gives off hippie mom vibes in the best way, Caleb Mir is a little shit (but in a way that makes you like him), and Sam is adorable. It embraces everything Trek, both old and new.
