Democratic leaders have met political violence with the same response. They stress the need to stop the inflammatory rhetoric and address the issue. Republicans respond to political violence differently. They exploit it for more violence or dismiss it with conspiracies.

The appointment of unqualified people for serious jobs is a further sign that bad things are coming with this administration. These are people who will be loyal to Trump and not the Constitution. I wish journalists would assess this threat for what it is, instead of treating it like a gaper delay.
