The argument is generally with those who are actively trying to destroy our liberal arts education *because* it produces well-rounded citizens, not people from other systems that also produce well-rounded citizens. Some seem to not understand their system isn't the proposed alternative here.

When I moved into my house, there were something like 7-8 different types of fixtures requiring as many different kind of light bulbs. We were replacing at least one of them monthly. Since, we've gone LED, and now it's a surprise anytime one burns out. LED is waaaaay better.
