I don't associate pastel foil wrapped bunnies and eggs with the theology of death and resurrection, just spring. Never had kids in modern public schools. Do they associate candy with religion? I never did. But definitely call your school board. Throwing in a "fucking" makes it important , yeah?

I respect your point of view but recalling my own long ago childhood with atheist parents, the school stuff wasn't about Jesus, it was about chocolate. I did Christianity later,on my own, as a teenager.

I hope this is driving home to folks that anti-DEI/anti-woke are functioning mostly as a way to make racism more palatable by framing it as a kind of defensive reaction to an imagined unfairness.

I should have made it part of my divorce decree back in 1976, when it was only an extra $100 to add the legal notices of name change. Did not want to have a new work surname at that time. Never imagined my country would go insane 50 years later.

Going back to my maiden name requires filing in court, not cheap, and once getting a decree - keep in mind if one has debts, might be difficult - then changing Social Security, bank accounts, pension records: for no good g-damed reason than Trumpcult are psychos.

Can’t believe innocent people around the world and the global economy have to suffer massively, all because of two indicted, egotistical genocidal criminals that otherwise should have been put behind bars years ago

My favorite part was the bragging about his $12bn aid to them necessitated by his disastrous tariffs, saying "Biden wouldn't have done that". He's such a piece of grinning garbage.

I married in 1971 when it was illegal in some states for a woman to keep her maiden name, or at least difficult to do business in a name different to her spouses's. When I divorced and bought a house in Maryland in 1987, my "sole female" status was on the deed.

Yes, and that's the only reason I have these documents already. Evidently Virginia failed to do something the other five or six states ? - Ohio now - accomplished to make their licenses proof of citizenship.

Millionaires stopped paying into Social Security for the rest of 2026 today. Billionaires stopped paying in on January 1st. You're going to pay in for 298 more days. This makes zero sense. The wealthy should pay in all year like the rest of us. Scrap the cap.

Not only one item if that last name does not match your current name. Costs $23 from my birth city. Marriage license is $5.50 but I'd need to go to UPS store to buy application copy. Good thing I still have a car at 75. This is a poll tax.

Because only 5 states have Real ID licenses that also prove citizenship, even though I had to get a certified birth certificate, certified marriage license, and notarized copy of divorce papers from three different states to get my Virginia Real ID in 2020. Always intended to burden women.

If you are in a tax repayment plan with the IRS, they can stop your passport renewal, in addition to the issuance fees it takes some of us hours on our feet to earn. Good advice for those who are able. But why the hell should we have to after 53 years of voting?

Passports cost $160. A not insignificant sum. If one is in arrears with the IRS, they can deny a passport renewal. What really pisses me off is I had to provide all this documentation in 2020 to get a Real ID driver's license but a Virginia license does't qualify as proof of citizenship.

I finally did see the new more obnoxious version. It's another way to suppress voters who favor Democrats. Fortunately that one would also burden white men so the rest of us probably are safe. "Honey, where's my passport?" is a sitcom dream.

Not that I can see. Any time you move or change your name, yes. But it's intended to address the imaginary problem of non-citizens voting so I could see that level of disenfranchisement for sure.
