Yay, with the 27.0.1 update, macOS is almost usable now! Well, apart from the “which one of the black boxes is the space you’re looking for?” game. It’s still there 🫠
macOS System Settings showing the Software Update pane. An update to macOS 27.0.1 (3,31 GB) is available, described as providing bug fixes, with "Update Tonight" and "Update Now" buttons. The update is circled in red.Top of the macOS Mission Control screen showing a row of ten Spaces thumbnails. The first space previews the painted field wallpaper, while the other nine are solid black rectangles.

Get yourself a piece of amazing art from MRSHAWNLIU: (via @ericafustero.com) mrshawnliu.com/100-postcard... #art #postcard #painting
A hand holds up a postcard painting in front of a wall of numbered stainless steel mailboxes. The painting shows a cream mug with a dark blue rim and loose blue-and-black circle patterns, filled with iced coffee. It sits on a pale lavender surface and casts a soft purple shadow.

Digital Ocean ended their $50/month sponsorship of GNOME and FlatHub and went radio silent on CSS-Tricks right around the time they found a spare three million dollars to burn on “sponsoring” a high-profile racist’s dotfiles repo. Impossible to see this as anything but a statement of their values.

Last week we said a fond farewell to Rahul on the last day of his internship. We've loved hearing all about his dragon boat team (they paddle, never row), his band (book 'em early), and his passion for image making (check out the cyanotype workshop he put together for us!) We'll miss you Rahul!
Members of the Fathom team gathered around our conference table making music with an assortment of musical instruments. Rahul stands in the center of the picture holding a guitar.

It's all custom/handwritten code… almost no dependencies, and the engine behind it is written in C++ and then compiled with WASM. (And on desktop it's even faster, since the C++ part is fully native: rowboat.net/product/desk...)
