👇 Updated the Bordeaux Hot Days chart with data through the end of August. We will have some "bonus"🔥days this weekend but really a remarkable year (not in a good way). Look at that gap on 2003, now looking relatively mild 😂. #wine #climatechange #viticulture

👇🔥Well there it is. Thus far 2026 is already ranking #4 for number of hot days (defined as >34°C) as of only June 28th. Based on the current 10-day forcast this year is on track to absolutely smash all previous records. 😬😬 #wine #viticulture #climatechange

👇🔥Maybe to be expected, but through last Saturday 2026 (purple line) is tracking as the hottest year on record in Bordeaux. Look at it kick up in late May (around day 140ish) It will be going vertical during the next 10 days and the gap should become more obvious. 😬 #climatechange #wine #viticulture

👇100% Agree. The AOC regulations are antiquated. Although established with good intent; the climate in Bordeaux is completely different today. Most producers lack the acclaim to leave the AOC making exits like this important in that they could influence positive change for the remaining producers.
