And quite honestly they've made social care an unattractive job. Home carers work a ten hour shift with a 4 hour break in the middle so it's a 14 hour day, for the absolute bare minimum pay. And the work they do is invaluable. Should be paid three times as much

I pay the same in rent for a 2 bedroom council house as I did for a 1 bed privately rented flat. My council rent covers the boiler and any repairs needing done, it's absolutely stress free and has provided me with stability in my life. Everyone should have that opportunity if they require it

I was working in a leather factory in 2002 when they introduced mandatory drug testing. I'd guess at least 60% of us failed, and they had made exemptions for management. It was about control of the plebs and nothing else. I wasn't making life altering decisions though

I've always been susceptible to addiction for a number of reasons. By far the worst drug I've taken outcome wise is alcohol. Mainly because you were seen as a good laugh if you drank loads. The fact it's legal, yet I can't eat a liberty cap is mindboggling. Fuck the UK government ✌️

A wee mayfly that paid a visit on the river Tay. They exist for years as nymphs under the water and only live for a day as adults. They are an awesome indicator of clean water due to their intolerance for pollutants. A mayfly hatch is something to behold if you ever see one!
