Still down the GiTS rabbit hole, watching the series on Amazon( recommended) and re-reading the book. "Thermoptics" rendered in #Lightwave3d and kludged in Photoshop. Does it work ? Not really but it was seriously fun to do and that's all that really matters these days 😊 #Scifi #ScifiArt

Still buzzing from what the previous satellite image taught me about lighting and surfacing. Time to revisit one of my favourite models, the Heliogyro probe, masterfully built and rigged by @nick-stevens.com . These are older renders ; the #Lightwave3d 2026 version is a project for another day.

Fan art I produced some years ago for the Xeelee Sequence books by Stephen Baxter, some of my favorite space opera. It introduced me to a lot of mad Big Dumb Object ideas. This artwork is based on the description of the powerful Xeelee species in his most recent trilogy in the series.
