There is a direct line from Newsom and Buttigieg running around the country a year ago saying "we have some concerns about trans people" to Democrats openly using anti-trans slurs in campaign ads today. It's why we pushed back so hard then. We knew where it would lead. And we know where this goes.

It's despicable, but among the reasons being an anti trans Dem (or throwing anyone under the bus) is a bad idea politically is the damage is permanent.
