Looks like a 1990s revival. Not sure post 2007-8 financial crisis or Grenfell government deregulation is the right lesson to take. Perhaps reducing compliance costs and/or judicial reviews rather per a reg than the number of regs - as in the 90s- should be the major focus?

Alas Anne Krueger, like Baumol, Tullock or Olson, oddly seems fated to never win. Likewise, some of the pioneers of health econ are still with us; my imaginary tenner this year goes to a shared prize for Autor & Katz (with Bloom or Van Reneen in the mix). It won't be another economic historian!

Shocked, nay stunned, to discover that Clive Dunn's 1970s novelty number one hit "Grandad" actually merited a Japanese 7" single release.
Japanese cover art for Clive Dunn's "Grandad"showing Dunn in Dad's Army military attire holding a gun in one hand, standing to attention next to some kind of hewn stone monument, possibly a gravestone. The song title is rendered in katakana in a curiously artistic font, as is the name of the B-side. Other Japanese script informs potential local purchasers that the disc is a British number one hit.

The variation within NI school quality is pretty high; there are very few private schools in NI too. England outperforming the NI average does give a pause for thought even if rationing by house price or school fees is much rarer in NI than England.
