I think it's actually an artifact of the photo-stacking app that I used! The Wraiths do have a gradient on their heads though.

I am like unto a window, utterly transparent! 😁

Cheers Tammi. It's nice to be able to declare an army 'Done'. Even if only for a while!

I was going to save this for a fancy board at Armies on Parade later this month. But since that's not happening, here's the fully completed Craftworld Aeldari Combat Patrol! #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity

The Craftworld Aeldari Combat Patrol consisting of a Farseer, Guardian Defenders, Jetbikes, Wraithguard, & a Wraithlord.
They are painted in turquoise, black, & light grey, with magenta spot colours.

The guy running the demo seems to be on some sort of affiliate program & is off to Spiel Essen for 4 days worth of demos! He's definitely evangelising 'So I've got more people to play against!' I've never been into card games, so I'm not sure what the scene is like.

Had a fun try-out game of Gundam Assemble at Element Games today. Cool models & a cheap starter box means I'm probably picking this up at the end of the month! #Gundam #Nerdlings

I wouldn't! It popped up on my YouTube with diagrams & animations, which just made it worse. All you really need to know is that they couldn't even recover his body.

An absolute nope! Always has been, & doubly so after I heard about that guy in the Nutty Putty cave.

a repeat of last October's building competition, with a bit of a twist... prizes include a whole batch of new, currently secret, unreleased spooky terrain bits worth over £100 from yours truly! Rules in @andycruns.bsky.social 's thread.

Bloody hell! I've just seen the Exceed Trinity Gundam gashapons, & I didn't think I've ever wanted a model more! 🤩 #Gundam

October has begun and it’s comp time. This month the theme is…Terraining Day 2: Electric Boogaloo. Scratch built terrain is the name of the game but this time with a very specific restriction. It must be 10*2.5 inches at the base. Rules on skeet 2. #Nerdlings #MiniOfTheMonth 1/2

A great big hole appears in my modelling schedule*, as I discover there's no Armies on Parade this year. Fortunately I hadn't started building anything yet. *TBF the schedule is mostly theoretical, subject to whims & circumstance, & usually barely lasts past April! #Nerdlings

Great episode, but I'd like to ask, what was the Admiralty's reaction when they got Heye's 'I've just sunk your destroyer, but this guy deserves a medal' letter, beyond the issues of rank?

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...

A casual Star Wars alien fella at the cantina, in a sun faded, reddish photo. Someone will be mad at me for not knowing who this is.

Phil, a balding Caucasian man, poses a model of the garthok, an antagonist from the Coneheads movie.

Phil, a balding caucasian man, points at some CG on a CRT computer monitor, as a younger man looks on. The screen shows a model of a dinosaur attacking a jeep, while there's an actual physical model of that event in the foreground for reference.

an isolated shot of a star wars vehicle. Sorry, I don't know star wars lol

Tis the season an all that, so if you want to add something macabre to your table for October I have come up with these to help. #Oldhammer #Nerdlings #3DPrinting #Warhammer #Spooky #Halloween

Nine miniature skull idols on a bright green fields, greenskins emerge form the darkness at their base, preparing to sow chaos upon unsuspecting lands.

I think '30 mile detour to the wadeable bit of the Mersey' doesn't rhyme as well!

Shouldn't have hired that Bajoran engineer, the Vulcan design was much more reliable.

Managed to hunt down two photos of the kitbashed model built by Jim Bowers as reference for the original WipEout game, sometime around 1993 or 1994. You can see the logos on it are harvested from other kits- Toyota and Buick logos, USAF roundels, and more that I'm sure someone else could ID

Hmmm. I think I might just have been conned on someone's YouTube channel. I bet this Amazon voucher that I 'won' won't register when I try it. 🤔 Oh well.

I enjoyed the 1st audiobook but haven't gone any further, as I'm not sure that the rest of the books won't just be more of the same.

Annoying, because I've just spotted some more varnish frosting that I missed last night! So that's the Wraithguard *almost* done! #Nerdlings

I just had to go with repainting the affected areas. It didn't take too long, I was lucky that the misting was on the extremities. I think I must've got too close a couple of times.

We once had an electrician 'Have Adventures' in our house. It ended up expensive!
