Feeling very old because people are calling Kahlon one of the NDP’s top ministers, and I’m pretty sure I only just covered his very first election as a completely green former field hockey player? I was just at a press conference at his house in North Delta?

Thinking about writing about endangered animals for kids? Don't. It's really depressing! Half the time, it's about how perseverance will save our ecosystems! The other half it's about how we messed up really really bad and maybe there is no recovery, maybe death is all there is and ever will be.

I am obsessed with this review. I cannot wait to both re-read The Odyssey and watch the film. www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...
Nolan’s Odyssey lacks many of the elements that make the poem great. It has nothing convincing to say about time, memory, history, war, or about the relationship between one warrior’s glorious return and the lives of his family, adversaries, comrades, friends and neighbours. It lacks psychological, emotional, political and ethical depth. Its narrative structure is gimmicky. The writing is abysmal. None of the characters has convincing motivation for their actions or words. There are no sex scenes, and all the food looks horrible.

Had my wedding reception on Sat (got married 5 years ago) and just received our photos. They are So Awful and I could not be more delighted. We had 18 disposable cameras and six kids under seven, so every other photo is of someone’s feet, a blurry shot of a table. Absolutely spectacular. No notes.
A close up of someone’s pink, floral dress from the waist down. Something is happening, but there is so much motion blur it’s impossible to tell what it is Maybe there is someone somewhere, but the camera’s lighting was too bad Some men’s feet standing on the grass.
