Trump's pushing the term "super intelligence" is stupid for many reasons (not least because "superintelligence" was already a term with a specific meaning in semi-technical and policy/philosophical discussions about AI). But now his bullying about it is reaching an Orwellian pitch.

A Trump Truth Social post dated 8 October 2026, reading: "The White House considers anyone that uses the term, 'Artificial Intelligence,' as opposed to the highly accepted new and more accurate term, 'Super Intelligence,' THE ENEMY! President DONALD J. TRUMP" (https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/117406176604364910). That post is quote-tweeted by @josephpolitano.bsky.social on the same day with the message: "Again he’s really losing it with the AI stuff now." And that, in turn, is quote-tweeted by @sky.skymarchini.net also on the same day, in two messages that read (combined) as follows: "Yeah, so, I work for an organization with federal government contracts and, the White House is not actually joking about this. The thing to remember about San Antonio is that this town has one of the highest concentrations of military personnel in a major metro in the country, because of Abbott ICE/CBP is ALL OVER it driving everyone crazy, and it's a minority majority city with a high amount of lifers.

Interesting case of fraud by making automated songs then automated accounts to stream them, pocketing $8M in revenue. Few/no real listeners were diverted to listen to the GenAI songs, but the funds he pocketed drank from a zero sum revenue pool that meant real musicians were paid less.
