Standing above the very low cloud bank, Exmoor, Boxing Day #BlueSkyMonday
Exmoor - husband and son silhouetted, looking down over the valley obscured by exceptionally low cloud bank giving otherworldly feel to the day

I've got a small UK sale starting online at this evening at 18:00. A mixture of old stock and seconds because I've got to clear some space. [link in bio]

Just ate leftover marmalade bread and butter pudding with brandy butter and brandy cream because needs must. 10/10 highly recommend. Thinking about some sort of Wensleydale/pickled walnut/Pringle canapé tomorrow.

Beautiful day on Exmoor; up above the cloud bank. Exmoor ponies, wind sculpted tree on the moor, tree lined lane.

Sure you might have had a productive day, but I got to watch a crow and two seagulls eat a packet of Monster Munch while waiting for an appointment so who’s the real winner here?

Husband tells me he’s going to bed but has to feed the dog her bedtime cheese…when she kicks me awake having a pedalling yippety nightmare, I get to kick him, no? A sub clause of the cheese tax if you will.

I’m always very behind on podcasts so just listening to the Jane and Fi book club edition covering Joanna Cannon’s The Trouble With Goats and Sheep which I absolutely loved. They have raised something about the ending that had completely eluded me and now I’m sad.

Just ate a maraschino cherry (for science) from a jar that’s been open in the fridge since the last snowballs of 2023. If it doesn’t kill me, you bet that’s what I’ll be giving them again this year.

When your favourite human (weekdays & non-holidays only) has been sweeping leaves outside for an hour and the temp is below 18C so you show your displeasure by wearing your dog flap as at hat and glaring out of it, occasionally slamming the flap down for emphasis.
An angry border terrier glaring through her dog flap door while the flap rests on her head. Also door and flap are quite dirty but that’s her fault.

While I was in the garden centre, someone turned these penguins on, a small crowd watched them sing and then they all applauded if you want to know what Gen X and Boomers are doing when we’re off out unsupervised. (I did not applaud because I was busy taking this photo. You are welcome)

I need to find my people. Hands up if you’ve had an appliance for an inordinate amt of time before realising there’s a plastic covering on it. The silver strip of my mixer is the latest victim, but I thought I had a silver d/washer w/an ugly gold panel for about 18 mths before that started lifting…

The smugness of a dog who went to the vet, was told that she was beautifully behaved, that her teeth and breath are lovely and that what appears to be a slight waist is mainly fur. Look forward to my GP adopting same approach.
