Haven’t flown since returning from OSH, and while I kinda feel the bug, I’m also still recovering (both mentally and financially)! Memory from a great week:

We made it! It was a slog, with an overnight at KGDK due to the convective activity in the Midwest yesterday, but got in today before all the group arrivals. #Oshkosh #Airventure

It was a hot day to fly in a DA40 (that canopy is like a greenhouse in the summer!) but had a great flight to KILM Wilmington, NC and back!

Haven’t flown in a few weeks, grabbed the DA40 to do a couple hours’ work, and … spent that time at the airport dragging it back up a hill to the ramp. One CHT was high during taxi and kept climbing, I finally shut off the engine as CHT neared 500F. Possible sensor error, but not taking chances.

Finally getting back into the cockpit. Spent time yesterday and today doing familiarization and orientation in the DA40!

I love seeing tripods living long healthy lives! Xander 9 years ago after his surgery, 6 months later after adopting us, and this morning, lounging on my leg and purring at the top of his purrbox.
