Re: Talarico, I have the distinct impression that he’s walking a fine line here to try to support trans rights whilst remaining electable in Texas. I grew up there, I know a lot of folks there that are not yet fully on board the trans rights bandwagon but still are looking to vote for Talarico.

If there’s one thing that every parent knows, it’s that you have complete control over what your kids do for their careers, and that no kid has ever gone against a parent’s wishes or done something embarrassing for the parent. Kids are notoriously good at thinking of the parents first, at all ages.

Got a call from a company that is a corporate benefit I used in the past and the voice mail transcript says they represent “(company), (corp), and unknown.” Seemed weird, so i listened to the vm - yup, voice says exactly that. Not answering that call now, no chance I’m talking to your AI bot.

Saw some cockpit footage today of the insane Sunday OSH Fisk arrivals and hooooooboy am I glad girl me and I arrived on Sat before the field went IFR. I’m not sure I would have stayed in that chaos, may have just diverted someplace much safer, like maybe an aircraft carrier deck

As I am soon to celebrate the 27th anniversary of my first solo, I realize that my dry spell was somewhat coincidentally about the age of my son (15) when I finally started rusty pilot (re) training 2 years ago. Now I’m current and working on an IPC!

It was a hot day to fly in a DA40 (that canopy is like a greenhouse in the summer!) but had a great flight to KILM Wilmington, NC and back!

Haven’t flown in a few weeks, grabbed the DA40 to do a couple hours’ work, and … spent that time at the airport dragging it back up a hill to the ramp. One CHT was high during taxi and kept climbing, I finally shut off the engine as CHT neared 500F. Possible sensor error, but not taking chances.
