perhaps no more new top tier graphics cards for the time being will be a GOOD THING. “pc gaming is dead!!” realistically, graphics haven’t changed much in the last 6 years. devs should spend more time learning how to squeeze as much power as they can from what we have, and prioritize optimization.

literally exactly what i did. my egg cracked december 8, 2021. i started HRT january 18, 2022. i knew within 6 months changes wouldn’t be permanent. i said “if i hate these physicsl changes and my mental health got much worse, HRT isn’t for me.” here i am 5 years later, all the better for it.

i’m so sorry i have to let this beast out. i have run this whole bit through my head every time somebody asks me a particularly dumb question. i need these words to echo in my skull no longer. i release thee!

my main argument that i roll around in my head at my boring ass job is that we live in the most advertised to country in the world, all these people are 21+ at least or appear so, and i cannot believe these people have never seen an ad for like... cascade dish detergent or dawn dish soap, ads which usually feature concretely or abstractly their application. and there's no way this is their first time ever buying either product, so what gives? where is the confusion? am i just being a bitch? another example is like, say, Tide. that red orange has been Tide's color since its inception decades and decades ago, it's at the top of the market in sales, how are adults asking me "where's the Tide" when they're standing right next to it. i have literally pointed at it and a customer has walked past it both on the way to it and when I tell them to turn around because they walked past it. when i'm going shopping at other stores or stores i'm not familiar with, if I'm looking for tide, I look down the aisle and that patented orange red color is right there, there's the Tide. my main rebuttal to all this is that I've worked retail for literally half my life and the associations for me are just incredibly strong, but i can't imagine that someone's could be so weak that they don't know Cascade goes in a machine and Dawn is for the sink or that Tide is bright-ass red orange color and always will be. it's also hard for me to swallow that there are people for whom so much is going on in their lives that common household products have completely slipped their minds.
