That's a lot! I think this was a maat year for black walnuts. Not as big as the last one that I remember, but pretty big. Our neighbor's tree drops them in our backyard.

This is a small city. Many people know these Council resolution sponsors personally and know that they are sincere and responsible stewards of the city government. I think this rhetoric will backfire.

This is about A2PP posts that say CMs are "trying to infringe on the democratic process and protect DTEs monopoly" and "they are pretending they are worried about the City but they just don't like public power." This messaging might rally a couple more speakers, but it will turn off more.

Tonight at #A2Council I think we will hear some very nasty accusations. My unsolicited advice for local advocacy groups: Demonizing your opponents by claiming they are corrupt and hate democracy can fire up your base, but it also damages your credibility and reputation.

I didn't drive today even though I had to go to a meeting in Detroit 3 miles away from the D2A2 stop. Can I use the credit for a different day?

This is ridiculous. All of 50 people attended. I like WEMU and this reporter, but this headline is awful.

Hi! Did you send your request to Transportation Commission? Our committee finally met this morning and we are willing to send a letter as well.

Now I'm imagining Akako in the ring wearing a one shoulder singlet.

I hope Akako makes an appearance.

Change can be hard, but I think it's important to remember plenty of beloved institutions that seem ingrained in the fabric of Ann Arbor without were once new, and hated because they replaced something else that people loved

The only thing I knew about them before you moved there was that I should blame them, per the modest mouse song.

I've attended most of these meetings, but I still meet someone new every time. Maybe you or one of your friends can be one of the new folks this month. This group is laid-back, friendly, and curious.

I'm sorry I haven't even looked at it, I'm just continuing with the pun theme because I enjoyed yours so much.

thanks. Is this a fairway to assess golf's slice of the budget, or is there a hook?

According to a nextdoor golf fan, there were around 60,000 rounds of golf between the two municipal golf courses in a recent year. (I haven't fact-checked). 279,000 bike trips counted at the 4 counters around downtown in 2025. 🤔

Thanks for flagging this. We need to pin down the actual numbers, because that's a lot of green.

This makes me think of Packard & Granger, which we use almost every day. One way to organize might be through Safe Routes to School committees. I'm on the Burns Park SRTS. If we want system-wide change we could see if SRTS committees across the District are interested.

Ann Arbor is one step closer to adding 343 affordable housing units to its housing stock.

Proposed Ann Arbor high-rise would be first 100% affordable building along Stadium and Maple corridor
If it clears zoning review, a 12-story building on West Liberty Street would become the first 100% affordable high-rise made possible by transit corridor rezoning in Ann Arbor, according to a city council member.

The problem is that the bike lane implementation called for in the Transportation Plan has been very slow so far, and it can always go slower.
