The evidence of immunomodulatory effects of steroids and Nefecon comes from the following trials. High dose steroids treatment suffered from complications like infections. Nefecon, however, still showed similar systemic side-effects of other oral steroids. #NephJC

Global Implementation of IgAN 2025 guidelines: #NephJC As we learn more and develop new treatments, it is important to try to make these available to a wide population of patients. Including low-income patients in future studies might allow for at least some access to cutting edge therapies.

The majority (but not all) cryoglobulinemic GNs have organized deposits. The morphology of the ultrastructural deposits can sometimes have overlap with the appearance of deposits of other entities (such as fibrillary and immunotactoid GN).
