MMORPG night at the club, and I went with “sexy necromancer.” I danced a ton and did a bunch of quests (read: a list of little tasks to do, like “drink a glass of water” or “join a group dance”) to earn enough XP to get a plushie (my new familiar, Selene).

I finished my quilt! I actually finished it a while ago, and then -immediately- put it to use. It is, as I hoped, the perfect weight for summer.

A completed quilt on a full sized bed. The quilt is made of hour glass shaped blocks with narrow deep teal sashing. The fabrics are pale green and teal solids and these reproduction william morris organic prints recolored in wild pinks, greens, and blues.

This is a view of the quilt from the perspective of someone in bed with it. It's the same quilt from before, but you can see the tent of my legs, and also a pale green bedroom wall across from the bed. There are bookshelves and also a floor fan sitting on an office chair pointed back at the bed. The lighting implies it is nighttime. It looks cozy.

The thing about an extended stay in the hospital is that intellectually I understand that bodies are natural and requiring assistance is valid but gosh do I have to confront my internalized ableism every time I choose between asking for the bedpan or just… holding it in until I get home.
