The day I realised I can't pronounce 'lure'... Angler fish are incredible for so many reasons, the depth they live at, their bio luminescent lures, and their extraordinary mating habits. I must be living in a dystopian future. Some alternate version of me is reading about what is going on in the world in a gripping dystopian novel. That must be what is happening now.

Humoral versus cellular immunity. What is that all about? It is old, it was a hotly debated issue, but actually on a practical level less relevant. The relevance is now more for educational purposes as a foundation to understand immunology. 1/10

I ended up massively reducing my engagement on twitter over the past couple years…for obvious reasons. Finding it hard to bring the habit back here. Though I really want to build a community here, Twitter brought me so much joy, friends and academic contacts, hoping to recreate something similar!

Seeing lots of posts about Roblox, here’s a short thread on what it is and why it’s in the spotlight. Roblox, a $27 billion online gaming platform, mostly used by children, lets users & amateur developers create games. Its appeal? A revolving door of new games. This thread includes mentions of CSAM.

Two maps the the contiguous United States. The first is colored with the 4 time zones. Above that map states "say no to time zones". The bottom is the same map but with a continuous color gradient. Above that map states "say yes to the time gradient"

Tuning into the UN World Data Forum's panel on trust, protection, & ethics in data. Interesting debate format: panellists must take opposing views on Qs: -National stats systems should set ethical data standards -Once trust is lost, it is hard to rebuild -Existing laws should govern data ownership
