I went to the mall with her specifically because she had certain things she needed to get. I went to all the stores I wanted to and let my kids go to all of the stores they wanted to, and then finally my sister got to her store and I complained that we were all tired and wanted to go home. It’s been a rough 24 hours at my house and I’m exhausted. I called in sick to work today to help my kid cope with unexpected and poorly executed dental surgery. Both kids have been sick all week and as thanks for my care they have now shared. It’s amazing.

I get 2FA is more secure. But I loathe having it on multiple systems that I use for work, all using different apps for the authentication. I hate it even more on a system that logs you out after 30 min. Not idle mins. Just 30 min since I last logged in.

On this day 65 years ago, Milwaukee gay bar patrons resisted anti-LGBTQ+ violence in what became known as the Black Nite Brawl, a precursor to Stonewall.

On August 5, 1961, four party-going sailors entered Black Nite, a popular St. Paul Avenue gay bar in Milwaukee, on a dare. They started a fight with the bouncer, only to be chased out of the bar by gender nonconforming Black "queen" Josie Carter. The men later returned with reinforcements and began to tear the bar apart, but were met with stiff resistance by bar patrons.

That ADHD problem where you have to do a tedious, prolonged task and you finally get into a flow and your body picks that moment to signal that you’re hungry and you need to pee so you have to decide if you’re going to go do that and risk never finishing or you’re going to ignore your body to work.

It’s been half a year since all of this really started, but my mom FINALLY has a neurology appointment on Friday (original estimate was early next year). I have refused to be anxious about her prognosis until we had a real diagnosis, but it’s starting to set in. I don’t think it will be good.
