This is a bit misleading. That chart is from 1983 until today and doesn't show that the SPR is currently 41% full. That being said, that is a historically low level.

My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary on the Oregon Coast. We had an amazing dinner at Side Door (Gleneden Beach) of steamer clams, crab cakes, prawns, panko fried halibut on risotto. My wife is amazing and we have had more good years than bad years. The yardstick of any long marriage.

I have been talking with a lot of friends who are going through this for the first time(s). Folks on the west coast (15-16% of US population) have been living like this, every summer, for 10 years at least. We might get a bit more traction to climate change when it hits a larger US population.
