My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary on the Oregon Coast. We had an amazing dinner at Side Door (Gleneden Beach) of steamer clams, crab cakes, prawns, panko fried halibut on risotto. My wife is amazing and we have had more good years than bad years. The yardstick of any long marriage.

The Oregon Coast is one of my favorite places on earth. No private beaches for the entire length of the west coast. While it isn't tropical, it is a place of immense beauty and access. The surfing isn't bad either.

We have a fun new tradition when the cold and dark are getting to you: Hawaii Night! We try to make fun, "traditional" food, where some colorful island clothing, and listen to some good slide guitar an pretty melodies. Houli Houli chicken, short ribs, mac salad, monkey-pod Mai Thai's, and Masubi.
