We are putting up our inflatable Halloween decorations in the front yard. Last year a family at the end of the street would bring their 3? and 5? year olds to our house to gently hug their favorites good night. I'm sad because they have since moved and the inflatables will miss their hugs.

We spent the week in Pensacola at the beach. It's beautiful there.

At that age when I babysat I learned to trust that the first two or three things the kid(s) told me were in fact not true. Like "Mom said I could have ice cream for dinner". Or, "I am allowed to ride my bike in the house". 😄

Last night we went to Moth Night at a nature sanctuary. We saw lots of cool moths, fireflies, cicadas, and handsome spiders. I could have done without a volunteer telling me that copperheads like to eat cicadas and that the snakes were "probably all over the place'. O.o #NationalMothWeek #moth
