Just wanted to say that @hiromicota.bsky.social and I are working on so many amazing things for Scion 3E, as the devs of this new edition. Yes, beyond the core. Even beyond the plans we have for future books. Things are happening and will happen. Just wait and see.

Or put another way: When the protagonists abuse their power/position in Criminal Minds, the narrative justifies them and paints them as heroes. In Hannibal, any justification doesn't make them look as cool - and the narrative often admits their actions aren't something it absolves.

Criminal Minds yes, more and more as seasons advance. The Law & Order spirit takes over a lot, imho. Hannibal I wouldn't say so. I think it's too busy doing other things, and it shows too much of cops being bad at what they do while making you see things from the Hannibal & Will's perspective.

A beautiful reprint (print?) of Imajica happened here, which is a book that has always been really difficult to find in Italy. Gave me an excuse to finally grab a copy, a friend did too. Mine's untouched, but he's reading and telling me it's a sensual book. "Yup," I said, "that's Clive Barker!"

It's admittedly a problem if you're a knight who believes in principles identical to the Old Code from Dragonheart but you live in a world that runs on Berserk/Legacy of Kain/Dark Souls genre conventions. But there's beauty in that friction, so this is another burden I'll inflict to her.

I love 1, personally, because I'm very fond of the Alessa storyline. Looking forward to the remake. Also, Lisa's cutscene is seared into my mind. 2 is arguably the best in the series (and I care a ton for Angela), but for personal taste it's at the third spot for me.
