Previously unseen lobbying shows the oil and gas industry is misleading government on North Sea drilling. For now, it looks like Burnham is listening to them. Only a Green win tomorrow will force them to listen to us. New analysis from Influence Map 👇

The UK Green Party actually stands for something now, something that at least 70% of the UK support, Anti-Zionism, we do not support the War Criminal State of Israel. Something which ALL the other parties do without question. Vote for change, vote Green.

No, it shows that some people would prefer to read the Daily Mail headlines than look at the ACTUAL wording of the motion that was passed. Absolutely nothing wrong the motion itself, the mistake was that passing it allows right wingers to misrepresent what was agreed.

If Andy Burnham is so determined that he won’t be the last Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, let’s have a referendum, let the people in Scotland decide, and see who is right.

He has done no such thing. He announced a commision to look into alternatives. No commitment on abolishing FPTP, simply to assess alternatives. Any system would need to absorb the local representation element that FPTP ensures or it would be no better than the status quo.

People getting excited or agitated by Burnham's speech need to remember that at the moment this is just words. Need to see action - and fast. The triple-lock thing is a red herring. The real sign of change will be with Healey's budget - at the moment it is just platitudes.

A good point however bear in mind that Labour threw out anyone who did not totally support the Neolib agenda. All-obeying members now. Certainly helps for unifying the party (and conference) although not sure it's now as representative of the public as it once was Voters hate discord though so...

Actually, fair point! However I think you get my drift. BTW I'm a pensioner and I think I should pay tax (albeit I'm not in Murdoch's income bracket). Moreover I think unearned income should be taxed at same rate as wages. Mad that I'd pay twice as much if I worked rather than simply buy shares.

Why has Chris Bryant not been urgently dispatched to Portadown to deal with this? Innefective management from @labouruk.bsky.social or just indifference? Looks very much like NI is on its own under Labour so maybe it's time for a #Unity poll to see if people would prefer running their own affairs.

And will boost the economy. Poor people tend to spend more rather than save and retail spending boosts capitalist economic systems. Give poor people £1000 and they will spend it on their needs thus also alleviating them from stress that poverty brings. However give a grand to a millionaire and 😒

Better to let it fail and then pick up the pieces for pennies when it enters administration rather than have to pay massive compensation for nationalisation now. Either option is better than the status quo TBH but play the capitalists at their own game IMO.

This is not just one four-year cycle. This has been building since Reagan and Thatcher It's also not restricted to one country or even one continent. Putin's 2014 attack on Crimea tested the waters for Brexit which begat the invasion of Ukraine which begat Trump which begat Johnson ad infinitum...

High-mileage electric cars are more reliable than petrol ones, study finds
EVs with 90,000 to 120,000 miles on the clock are more likely to pass MOTs than petrol models of the same age Motorists buying a secondhand car with a lot of miles on the clock are likely to find an electric vehicle (EV) ultimately more reliable than a petrol vehicle, according to a study. An analysis of 47.4m MOT tests found that after cars were driven 90,000 to 120,000 miles, EVs were about 25% less likely to fail than petrol models of the same age (based on a failure rate of 16.5% versus 22.1%). It’s time to stop adhering to a decade-old referendum that caused us nothing but problems. An increasingly volatile world now changes faster, year on year. The days of Empire are long gone. We cannot survive alone. We need the power/safety of our neighbours. Unity not isolation.
