Oh my God that is literally THE BEST!! One of my Nieces is autistic and mostly non-verbal as well. She is SUPER shy, just really doesn’t trust anyone besides her parents and my dad, but a couple months ago she came up with me with a big book of words…

So anyway, I’m so glad this play exists, and more Americans should actually watch it and hopefully feel empowered. But boy, the heartbreak and hopelessness when I first watched it was rough. I wish we could also feel the nostalgia and pride that you are supposed to feel after watching Nye.

The other scene that almost had me turn the play off because it broke my heart so bad, was when he was reading the letters from his constituents about their healthcare worries. Literally every singe letter held a complaint that Americans struggle with TODAY. Including my own family.

They don’t want us educated enough to see that we have LITERALLY and Edwardian Healthcare system, and have the vision he did of the NHS and the communal power to elect someone to office who will change the power dynamic in our country. Neither party!

Nye is such a beautiful play that showcases the well deserved love and pride in the NHS and it’s Champion, but as an American, Nye was so hard to watch. It made me realize in HARSH seriousness how unbelievably behind and antiquated the American healthcare system is. Cont.—

Some of us literally aren’t allowed to. When I was a PA I was told that PA’s who sit get fired because you are “not doing anything” 🙄 Then you have the drivers and all they DO is sit on their butts all day, and God forbid you ask them to move their van or truck and they have a tantrum.
