It has come to my attention that many people at #goatmire have not seen Erlang: The Movie. I think that is unacceptable. Please spread the word of our Lords and saviors, Mike, Robert, and Joe. youtu.be/xrIjfIjssLE?...

Okay, Copenhagen might be one of my new favorite cities to visit. Vienna, Copenhagen, and Prague are the top 3 I think :)

Happened to see that Erlang currently has this: www.erlang.org/doc/system/e... this is pretty similar to what you proposed. I like it :)

Soldering flux is the most nasty thing I ever tasted. It's a weird mix of eating sand and something utterly disgusting. 0/10 do not recommend.

I have a little side hustle that sells IoT devices. Because marketing is hard and marketing people cost more than my ARR, I decided to try Microsoft Clarity and figure out what people look for on my shop. I knew this existed, but seeing it in action really is so freakin' creepy.

Im curious what this would buy you vs a TCP proxy or http proxy. Care to elaborate? Would it be a beam in front that does load balancing across beams?

I have a tiny distributed work queue on it. But I ran into limitations like sockets and memory usage real quick. So now I have a sort of lazy queue. It's on GitHub but heavy wip. github.com/m1dnight/nan...

I've been playing around with it quite a bit. I shelved it but now I'm going to pick it up again. Ordered a 10port usb hub to make a bigger network. I have some 60ish esps left to add 😆

Well it's an esp 32 so I'll make some app that makes a mesh of all the participants! We can make a distributed poll for talks! A local version of grindr but then for talking to people about tech! A botnet! Attendance tracker! SO MANY THINGS SO MUCH EXCITEMENT

My vegan friend popped round yesterday, while I was eating my takeaway food, and watching the rugby. "That chicken you're eating had a family." "That's why I ordered the family bucket. No one gets left behind." 🐢💨

I like it but as soon as it grows and its not aligned and a mixture of local and non-local functions I want to not look at it anymore :) I'm stealing the begin though. Looks neat.

I only use applications written in pure assembly. If the dev even looked at the spec I consider it slop.

if it took looking at the code to clock this, I submit it is not slop

When you are the most profitable company in the world, this happens: NVIDIA reportedly priced the deal at $12.9303 billion as a nerdy joke: The “129303” part is the decimal version of U+1F917. U+1F917 is the Unicode code for the 🤗 hugging-face emoji. Hugging Face uses 🤗 as its signature emoji.

Since the soft-release of Pushin.eu, my GitHub competitor hosted in Europe, 28 users signed up to try it out! I even have one of the first users of GitHub trying out Pushin, which is crazy!
A screenshot of the waitlist header which shows that 28 people already signed up to the waitlist. I invited all of them and around 20 already signed up

I get annoyed when it writes docstrings or moduledocs like this. "this module does X." And then 2 paragraphs "it does not do Y Z or A or B because blabla". I assume it helps in future work, but it's bit annoying and too verbose to me.
