Trump Admin is planning to ask Congress to dramatically cut funding for transit as part of the 2026 infrastructure law. The proposal would eliminate the transit account, which funds billions of dollars in capital expenses. It would also prevent states from “flexing” roads funds for transit.

Yeah, we have real issues like all the food banks losing funding. The federal Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) USDA program, canceled in late 2024, took away many boxes. So now with SNAP, so e residents have even fewer places to turn. He's not banning private grocers from operating, anyway.
