Blurb:

Art student Graham Ellis is focused on making it through the semester and paying his bills when old enemy Eva Haddon returns to the neighborhood he grew up in. Graham has had a bone to pick with the Haddons ever since they tore down the affordable housing units and undeveloped land behind it that he grew up in. He becomes obsessed with trying to stop her from finishing what her father started ten years ago.

What he doesn’t expect is help from a mysterious figure who calls themself the Caretaker. They claim that they can drive Eva and her family away once and for all, but they need Graham’s help. Despite his reservations, Graham follows their nonsensical instructions and waits for something to happen, but as time passes, all he notices is the strange way the plants are growing around Eva’s house and that the mysterious Caretaker is nowhere to be found to finish the plan.

But there’s something darker lurking, in Graham’s own memory and what he recalls from the years before he left the suburbs and moved to the city. As he struggles to piece together everything that doesn’t make sense, he will have to choose between two worlds: his, and the Caretaker’s.

Figured it was time to introduce myself properly! [all art by me]

Comic strip that reads top down left to right. Title text:” Meet the author” next to a cartoon full-body rendering of Gemini Fletcher wearing a backwards ballcap, headphones, oversized t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers with crew socks. In one hand they’re holding an energy drink, in the other, a video game controller. Their expression is wide-eyed and empty-headed. Beneath this, a text bubble reads “what’s wrong with it?” A shrugging stick figure replies “idk, it just looks like that.”

Next, large letters read “Hi! I’m Gem (they/them). Beneath this, a cartoon rendering of Gemini Fletcher’s floating head smiles beside a text box that reads: “30-something, American (unforch), non-binary, asexual, chronically ill, ADHD, and dumpster rat-goblin-human hybrid.”

Center there is a panel of floating objects. A can of monster energy is labeled “in hand at all times.” A t-shirt with a monster truck on it is labeled “surprisingly into big loud bouncy trucks.” A pair of headphones is labeled “probably listening to Ghost,” and a video game controller is labeled “probably playing TOTK or BG3.”

Bottom left is another full-body rendering of Gem Fletcher hunched over a bowl of ramen labeled “Buldak spicy ramen.” Their chopsticks are frozen midway to their mouth and their eyes stare sidelong at the viewer, wide and frantic. A cringing stick figure says beside this “no sudden movements! it startles easily…”

Last is Gem standing crouched with a wide, almost menacing smile full of sharp teeth as they hold a stuffed rabbit in the air above their head. The rabbit is labeled “plushie charm,” and from between their spread legs, a small fart cloud is labeled “poot!”

You bring home a mysterious radio that introduces you to the world of Magical Girls. 💓✨🔥📻 You can find Lovely Astral Charming Girl broadcast on itchio exclusively 🫶 wolfehorror.itch.io/lcagb Thank you @advalentinus.bsky.social for the cover & formatting!

A black graphic with white halftone stickers in the background of a radio and old microphone, as well as a very low opacity pink hypnosis swirl. The graphic features a pink cover of “The Penitent St Mary Magdalene (1665 – 1668) by Girolamo Troppa” edited, with lightening bolts and tears drawn on over. In neon pink text it says “New release, Cover by Jun T.N.”

It also has a trope map with the following
Don’t you want to be a magical girl?
Chosen one
4k
OCD Rep
Character study
Haunted vintage appliance
Wtnv/tma core
Second person fever dream
TRANSformation

This graphic matches the others with a blurb about the book from kellen graves, author of A Bone In His Teeth that reads LACGB is a gruesome, alluring, unsettling meal of a book. Wolfe crafts such an unnerving narrative while simultaneously drawing the reader closer with every passing description of sweet promises, only to turn them right back on their head. You never quite know where the story will take you--and once you reach your destination, it sticks with you for a long time after.

This graphic matches the others with a book blurb from Felix Graves author of Farzana’s Spite that reads I’m always on the lookout for second person narratives, and *Lovely Astral Charming Girl Broadcast* delivers on the promise of total immersion and suspension of reality. In barely 4k words, Wolfe manages to suck you into a sickness that plagues the mind, one that will have you thinking about this experience long after the final word.

I’m very interested in the potential eroticism of being studied in a public setting (think nude art model or volunteer patient for a medical class). Being spoken about but not to, being objectified in a way that is both mortifying and exciting. 🤔

Meet the GUTTED characters: THE CREATURE (it/its) 🩸 Are those eyes? Peering out of the darkness, just on the periphery of your vision. Twin reflective discs, unblinking and unmoving. Why do they look so familiar? Where have you seen them before? A̸r̸e̸ ̴t̸h̵o̵s̷e̵ ̶e̶y̸e̴s̷?̸?̷?̴ A̸̡̗̠͕̘͂r̵̼̃͂͂͂̔̀̕ḛ̷̀̈̍̊̎ ̷̢̣̪͚͍̝̬̏́t̸̼͈̣̦̎h̵̢̭͋͒̌͗̒o̸̺̲̍̉̈́́ṡ̴̡͚̝͉͈̀͌͌͝e̶̟̒͋̒̐̀͒͘ ̸̩̯̪̣͉̂̽̔̌̒̎e̵̻͖̻̾̔͑̔͑͘y̴͉̓̌̌͠ě̵̲̘͕̞́ṣ̸͈̑͆̑̆͘͜?̸̛̺̇͌̈̆̄?̷͙͉̜͙̦̭͚́̀̎̾̅͝?̷̢̣͖͈̜͝

A collage. Images include blood splatter; a white, claw-tipped hand reaching out as if to grab something; a pair of black, leather driving gloves; a painting of a large black wolf resting its head on the neck of a person lying down, its eyes pointing straight at the viewer threateningly; a screenshot of a tumblr post that reads “covered in blood for sexy reasons”; black text on a white background that reads “it’s my turn to torture you”; white text on a black background that reads “looking half a corpse and half a god;” a picture of a pale person’s eye, which is entirely black—pupil, iris, and sclera—with eyelashes and eyebrow that are white; and in the center of the collage, the shadowy silhouette of figure. None of the figure’s features are visible except the twin glowing orbs of their eyes. Beside this, red, jagged script reads: ”The Creature.”

GOOD KITTEN 😻🎀💞 A #T4T Erotic Short by Hex McKenna OUT THIS FRIDAY 2/14 sexmckenna.itch.io

(1) Pastel pink background with hearts and sparkles. Pink cursive text at bottom center says “Cumming Friday,” followed by smaller pink text that says “Preview.” The digital book cover for Good Kitten by Hex Mckenna is at center.

Cover: Photo a pink cat collar with a silver bell against a white background. Black cursive text at top center says “Good Kitten.” Black print at bottom center says “A T4T Erotic Short by Hex McKenna.”

(2) Pastel pink background with hearts and sparkles. Author website printed at bottom center in pink text, all capitals: sexmckenna.itch.io. The slide predominantly features the following text excerpt in black font:

“Have you been naughty?”

I avoid his eyes and nod guiltily like the naughty,
slutty little kitty that I am.

“Show me.” His voice is sharp and his grip on my hair is tight enough that my torso is straining up to relieve the ache in my scalp.

I rub my hands slowly up my thighs, gathering up the hem of my hoodie, and lifting it up juuust enough that he can see my hard, leaking dick pressed tight to the front of my jockstrap. The cool air kissing the head tells me there’s probably a dark wet spot where I’ve been leaking into the fabric for the past hour waiting for him to get home. My hips twitch a little at the sensation, and a confusing mix of shame and arousal heats up my cheeks.

“Oh, poor honey.” He sounds empathetic, but I know it’s a trick. “That looks like it hurts.”

I nod, sad and dejected, eyes pleading. It does hurt.

“Do you need daddy to take care of that for you, kitten?”

Meet the GUTTED characters: CODY (he/him) 🛠️✨ Looks like he could kill you; is a cinnamon roll. Cody is Sid’s best friend. He’s kind-hearted, nurturing, & comfortable in both steel toe work boots & 6-inch heels. His busted up Ford Taurus has a bumper sticker that says “sex work is real work.”

Image is a collage. Bottom right features a large picture of a heavily tattooed, masculine person shaving their head, with blackletter script that reads “Cody” just above. Other photos include a camera on a tripod facing an unmade bed, an older model silver Ford Taurus, a black leather ring collar, a note that says “you take care of everyone, but who takes care of you?” scrawled in messy handwriting, and the bottom half of a person reclining on a couch with their legs casually spread, wearing light-colored denim jeans tucked into a pair of heavy work boots. There’s also a screenshot of a tweet that reads “it’s always ‘who’s the mom friend’ and never ‘how’s the mom friend.’ I’m stressed out, thanks,” as well as a screenshot of a text bubble that reads “text me when you’re home safe.”

Meet the GUTTED characters: SID (they/them) 💅🏼🔪🪩✨ Sid is our chaotic protagonist. They’re messy (literally & figuratively), self-destructive, hedonistic, & probably vitamin D deficient. The only thing in their fridge is a butter compartment full of hot sauce packages & a single monster energy.

A character moodboard collage featuring a greyscale portrait of a masculine person snarling with a cigarette hanging out of their mouth. The text above reads “Sid” in handwritten font. The rest of the images in the collage are: a picture of a nightclub, a black lipstick kiss, the torso of a person wearing a leather crop top with a split down the middle held together by safety pins, a pair of black combat boots, a switchblade, and a photo of an extremely messy room. There are also text screenshots; one that reads “masochism: it might hurt, but at least you’ll feel something,” one that reads “lonely lonely lonely face under a veil, after all the laughter emptiness prevails, born into this world with no consent or choice, lonely (x11),” and one that reads “if you want you can tear me apart for your sick amusement (flirting).” The background of the entire collage is silver glitter.
