I thought the water utilities like the PFAS rules because it increases their regulated rate base and therefore returns? They’re lobbying to be exempt from PFAS litigation as passive receivers, but didn’t think it was to get rid of the PFAS rules altogether? I can understand with 3M, DuPont etc

The decoupling of the sewerage systems, removal of lead pipes and expansion of overflow storage tanks are arguably the biggest, long-term issues that require the most investment. Will be interesting to see Ofwat’s final determination on these items, especially for the poorest performers like TW

I’m looking forward to EPRI releasing its SMARTargets methodology for emissions targets for US utilities. Public consultation goes live early 2024. Apparently more greenfield fossil fuel generation is compatible with the long-term temperature goals of the Paris Agreement 🍿 🤠

That’s really good advice about PHP first. I’ve heard of people doing Tebe first. Then it stops working and by that times it’s spread all over the body, so the PHP becomes redundant. Key is to nail the liver in the most targeted way.
