to make it real short here, a moviegame its not just cutscenes and a bit of gameplay, its having cutscenes and actually MAKING THAT the gameplay if your plot says x, y and z, gameplay must do that too unfortunately most "moviegames" are more into telling you stories than making you play one (4/4)

and here is where a lot of moviegames screw it most would be a cutscene with a "press X to not fall" a GOOD movie game would have us actually fight the entire thing, the ground pushing us as, for example, space pirates are also running AND shooting at you, so its really feels like a mad dash (3/4)

you play as a, lets say, space adventurer in a planet that is currently collapsing while running away from space pirates. the setpiece should be that, you, are running away to your ship, framed in a way that is easy to see but feels oh so far, as the ground crumbles down behind you (2/4)

I gotta say, I'm having SO much fun playtesting some of the recent additions! This is ~6 hours into a fresh playthrough, trying hard to grow the fleet and get ahead - make of that what you will :) Going to talk about this in a new blog post, just need to get more testing done first!
