Just had a fleeting memory of living close enough to my elementary school that we could use the school grounds as our playground during the summer break, and how that felt different than during the school year, exciting and slightly forbidden (it wasn’t). I miss “playing outside” as an activity.

I’m guessing people have seen the news about the terrible news helicopter crash here in Los Angeles. I just can’t stop thinking about the fact that they were covering another terrible bus crash, so somewhere there’s most likely audio and video of the reporter’s and pilot’s last minutes and deaths.

Lanterns : Not good! Pretending to be cool. Dialogue is fake “natural” terrible. Kyle Chandler is miscast and playing at the role rather than investing himself in it. Kelly Macdonald also miscast. Directing is broad strokes with hammy acting results. Not good!

So yes, there is a @fangoria.bsky.social gate, and it is kept. The easiest way to get thru that gate? Ask. If the answer is "no," before you throw a fit, ask why. "No" might actually be "not now." There may be another step or fixable roadblock. "Yes" might be 6 months from now.
