Only a few chapters in and already delighted to be back in this world. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you enjoyed Between Two Fires, try Christopher Buehlman’s other work. This series has great characters, an interesting world, and very vivid prose.

This game was cool at launch, but last time I played it, everybody was a bullet sponge because the healers were so powerful. That consequently makes every hero feel weak. They definitely screwed the balancing.

This is, I think, one of the best Metroidvanias of the last 15 years and you can EASILY finish it within this timeframe. Hell, you don't even need to feel bad about not paying Ubisoft, because they disbanded the team, anyway!! Also it runs at a (99% consistent) 60 FPS on Switch. Do it do it do it.

Rogue One still delivers, and more so straight after watching Andor. The CGI Tarkin is still a massive blunder, but you get used to it - it’s more than just one scene, and I didn’t recall that. He’s used throughout the movie, like any other character.

Resident Evil was good, though I can’t help but feel like it’s missing something on the script level. It’s not so much that the ending is abrupt, it’s more that it feels like it only half concludes the protagonist’s arc.

I feel like there’d be a real audience for this too. Like a full AAA treatment of the companion/romance systems in RPGs, but supplemented by more dating systems rather than combat/exploration etc.
