Phonics is taught for the ages of 3-5. The removed assessments are during Primary school years None of these changes would’ve impacted the 2025 PISA cohort. Even the 2028 cohort will not be impacted by phonics changes 2181

The Welsh curriculum was done in the 2022/23 school year with separate guidance for 14-16yr olds. Let’s assume PISA tested those who turned 15 in the 25/26 school year. 1131
