New foot. By far the most natural-feeling prosthetic foot I've had. But, it's also the first one where it seems they actually understand the details of living with a prosthetic foot. The details are all orders of magnitude less complex than the foot itself, but prosthetic companies neglected them.
Photo of a prosthetic foot with a flip flop on. The foot is carbon fiber with two plates extending backwards and curving down to the foot. The anatomical foot shell has a snap near the back that allows the heel to be lowered for easier foot removal.

Spent about ~30 minutes on an annoyingly squeaky/creaky foot. Re-did some screws with fresh Loctite. Added some teflon lubricant on the plastic bits. WD-40’d a couple of spots. Swapped out my sleeve for a new one. Every step feels ~30% better now. If only it was that easy for real body parts.

Looking into some new shoes. Hashtag amputee humor.
A pair of white, low-top Nike dunks. The back tabs on the shoes have been customized to replace the Nike logo with "404" for the left show and "200" for the right shoe.

How it’s going right after the last two weeks had felt like Spring was already here. And it’s wet and heavy snow with more in its way. Crummy time to be sick and struggling and miss out on a pow day.

Post a picture of yourself from a different era. Early 20's. Still had both legs. Could still dunk. Could never spend enough time on a basketball court.

Getting closer to a useful "temporary" vs. "permanent" dichotomy for @flippercloud.io flags to help make flag cleanup and organization more relevant. That way, we can proactively recommend cleaning up temporary flags without recommending cleaning up permanent flags.
Radio button options for feature flags. The first is "Temporary flags should be removed when the work is complete." The second is "Permanent flags are long-lived for maintenance or infrastructure."

Just an entitled golden doodle pouting and laying across the couch pillows because we took a small break from petting her.
A golden doodle laying across some couch pillows with her head resting on one of them and her front paw sticking out from between the two pillows. She looks completely mellow but her dark brown eyes seem to be staring intently at the camera un-phased by the photographer.

And very central to the overall practicality when working out.
A mostly square office with beige walls and a Tonal on the left wall. The wheeled desk is rotated to align with the right wall rather than protruding from it in order to create space for using the Tonal.

Because everyone else’s workspaces are fascinating and inspirational, here’s where I bang on a keyboard these days. How about you?

A lounge chair is in the right corner with a Mac Finder logo pillow.

So much for stuffing ourselves silly on Thanksgiving. Doesn’t look like great food—or eating at all—will be a priority on opening day this year.
A screenshot of the snow report for the upcoming week with 12 inches on Tuesday and 14 inches on Wednesday with only 1 inch Thanksgiving day. Presumably that’s going to mean far-better-than-average skiing opening day. (Officially Thanksgiving day, although the mountain will likely be open Wednesday.)

Buddy in Denver (under a foot of snow with another foot expected) was asking if we’d had any snow in the mountains. I told him that’s nothing and that we have four feet on the ground here.

Millie in the tent in the morning after a camping trip this summer when she wore herself out.

For context, here's a peek at what it looks like in action. Run the shortcut from the menu bar or Raycast, and all relevant apps for that project are opened, set up, and arranged automatically in seconds. iTerm tabs have Rails console, server, and a test run kicked off automatically too.

Had been using Keyboard Maestro for quickly switching between different dev projects and apps, but recently spent the time to make it all work in Shortcuts. It required a little more creativity, but composable shortcuts that work with a Dictionary for each project makes it all work nicely.

Just gonna throw this out there for all the companies giving away t-shirts… There’s a handful of us tall nerds that would love tall options for t-shirts because we can’t all pull off the mid-riff look.
