Are you listening, GOP? Use your authority. Check the mad king.
Screenshot of an X post by “Republicans against Trump” with the caption “WATCH: Ed Davey, leader of the UK Liberal Democrats, delivers a blistering takedown of Trump in the British Parliament.” The post includes a large quote claiming President Trump is “acting like an international gangster,” threatening an ally’s sovereignty, threatening NATO, and threatening tariffs on the UK and European allies unless he gets “his hands on Greenland.”Screenshot of a quote graphic above a TV still from the UK House of Commons. The text says it is a “grave moment” for the UK, Europe, and the world, alleging the US president is attacking the economy, livelihoods, and national security, and adds that “the only people cheering him on are Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.” Below the text, a man stands at a dispatch box reading in Parliament, with other MPs seated behind him.

A ceasefire in Gaza must be the first step towards a two-state solution and a lasting peace.
A tweet from Ed Davey which reads: News of a ceasefire deal in Gaza brings real hope.

The UK and our allies must do all we can to get the hostages home, get aid in to starving people, and finally end this horrific violence.

This must be the first step towards a two-state solution and a lasting peace.

The US stock market slump likely has only a little to do with the actual impact of the tariffs imposed to-date. Instead, it's the market's assessment that the people in charge don't do their homework, don't consider consequences, can't implement, but refuse to let any of that slow them down.
