Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 14/10/2026I really appreciate the use of a silhouette so I don’t have to look at his face. Thank you. 010
Reposted by DeyannaSarah McAnulty, Ph.D. @sarahmackattack.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Oh good another grant rejection. We have applied for 7 grants so far this year, with a bunch more we’ll be applying for this fall. We’ve been rejected by 6, and got runner up for 1 of them, resulting in $1000. Our annual operating budget is 250k. Oh wait that reminds me. Anybody need a tote bag?? 621088
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Cost ain’t it. My anecdotal evidence is that I have 2 kids in a financially stable household and we decided not to have more for a number of reasons, expense being low on that list. My cousin and her husband are broke as hell and expecting their 5th. 010

Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Oof. We’ve literally warned our teenager when he’s being a massive asshole that if he talks to anyone else like that he’d better expect to get his ass kicked sooner or later. 020
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I loathe that “Polish?” following me at the end of a sentence I’m in the process of typing and know exactly how I’d like phrased. 031
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Fascinating. Horrifying, to be sure. But fascinating. 050
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Omg… sure, some pollinators are generalists who will go for just about any flower. But a lot are specialists who co-evolved with their specific NATIVE plant. It’s so frustrating to deal with confident ignorance. 130
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 17/08/2026A fly-covered pile of shit for a cutie mark would really bring this together 000
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Thanks for the clarification! I was about to ask the follow-up question “how thick is a layer?” 120
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Really feel like I can relate to AOC now (I have a thing for bearded gingers) 000
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Limited or weirdly angled photos of the outside leads me to check the satellite images and I always find something like a junk yard, railroad tracks, or dog kennel next door. But if there’s zero indoor photos, I’m instantly out. 010
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 30/07/2026If the covered didn’t sell me on it, your review just did. This sounds custom written for my specific niche interests. 100
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Hi Trung! My kid stumbled on The Magic Fish at the library a few days ago (and I recognized the cover from Bluesky). He devoured it in a day, pausing only for dinner. Today he asked to go back to see if you had more books. Angelica was already checked out so we placed a hold. You have a new big fan! 000

Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 13/07/2026I have definitely picked a tomato off my fast food sammy while making the “just smelled a fart” face because I can’t abide those pale, gritty mofos. How does one even grow it that gross?!? Thanks for the laugh, at least. 010
Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 08/07/2026I was worriedly checking the wildfire map today when a notification popped up that my recurring contribution to Word of Thanks went through. Perfect timing to ease that feeling of complete helplessness. Consider making your own donation 000
Reposted by DeyannaChris Bianchi @bianchiweather.bsky.social · 30/06/2026I’d hope this is fairly obvious considering all the fires we’ve got, but I’ll say it anyways: Please respect campfire and fireworks bans this week and over the 4th. Most of the mountains are in stage 2 restrictions (no campfires). Again, an ask to please respect it. #COwx 413752

Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 03/06/2026Being in the White House at this moment in time is not something to brag about, everything is horrifyingly gold. So really the Canadian embassy is way cooler. Love your park art, it’s beautiful! 130

Deyanna @gardentroll.bsky.social · 11/05/2026Was out watering this morning when I stumbled upon a new nest in my peonies. It appears that the duck couple that has been lingering lately decided to take up residence. I’ll have to rethink some of my gardening plans to give them space… 110
