Here's a nearly 10-minute supercut of Troy Jackson taking it to Susan Collins during their debate tonight, including Jackson telling her "you can't eat road salt" and "Collins is like an arsonist who helped set the fire, and then she wants credit for bringing a cup of water to put it out"

Alito’s perspective on this is the same as ‘not all men’ - feeling personally attacked when someone points out a systemic problem.

I will always hate the phrase "money can't buy happiness." My partner and I are going through something, and our first course of action was cutting down on the food shop, and having to eat less. You know what would make me happy? Always having cash so I didn't have to worry about this happening.

If they deserve to be impeached — and so many of them do — then the House should impeach them. Maybe the Senate won‘t convict but it’s still worth the effort to remind people that laws still exist and that Democrats still defend it. Also, as noted here, make ‘em sweat.

The next 2 years need to be full steam ahead accountability from a Dem congress. Take every opportunity to impeach, investigate, and pass laws to protect democracy, voting rights, bodily autonomy rights. It sucks to always have to clean up after the bigots. Put real stops in place to prevent it.

NYT has now independently corroborated all the major allegations against Susan Collins in the ProPublica report, including that investigators were prepared to move against her and then Trump intervened to shut it down. This put Trump in a position of exceptional and extortionate leverage over her.

No one buys one gallon of gas. You are getting 10-12 gallons each time (our family cars are older and bought used cuz we don’t have $800 for shoes either?!). It’s not one item for $4.50 as a treat. It’s $45-54 every time you fill up the tank. I hate disingenuous comparisons like this.
