My research into Nanny Morgan has been one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done. Ann Morgan's story highlights the importance of honouring historical legacies in folkloric narratives. She deserves to be remembered. nearlyknowledgeable.co.uk/reclaiming-n... #witchcraft #history #folklore

St Mary’s Church ruins sit west of Tintern Abbey on Chapel Hill. Once serving Tintern’s lay tenants, the church became redundant in 1972 and was ravaged by fire in 1977. Now, whispers of witches and ghosts linger among the ruins, a testament to just how evocative the site is. #history #Ruins

"Colyn Angau yw Pechod" The ornate 15th-century rood screen in St. Eilian’s Church, Llaneilian, dates from around 1496. Its central panel bears a painting of a skeleton with hooved feet, declaring "Colyn Angau yw Pechod" (sin is the sting of death) 1 Corinthians 15:56. #history #churchcrawling

The impressive chest tomb of Sir Robert Broke (died 1588), who served as Speaker of the House of Commons. It depicts Sir Robert alongside his two wives, with the sides of the tomb decorated with images of his children in prayer, which was a common feature of 16th-century English funerary monuments.
