Is our Future in history or is our Future history if we keep heading down the current path that we are on? The Future us needs the current us to figure it out and learn from our mistakes instead of continually repeating them. The Future is watching!

“Power over others is weakness disguised as strength.” — Eckhart Tolle Only a weak leader needs to talk about a surprise for the midterms. A strong leader wouldn’t have to worry about the midterms. Stay vigilant and alert out there folks! Weak men will resort to anything to hang onto power.

At a time when the most influential leaders of the U.S. need to stand up loudly and clearly for the rule of law, they are leading the charge in the opposite direction. But not Jack Smith. Kudos to him for continuing to be a much needed voice of clarity.

If you are the so called leader of a country and you have to run ads to try and make yourself look good and feel loved, you’re probably not doing a good job as the leader of that country. Only weak leaders need to run ads to feel good about themselves.

Finnish nature photographer Lassi Rautiainen followed a female grey wolf (Canis lupus) & a male brown bear (Ursos arctos) for 10 days. They played together, shared meals, napped together. Both were young adults. They appeared to be... friends? (📷: Lassi Rautiainen, www.wildfinland.org)
A brown bear and a grey wolf on a green grassy plain, both looking in the same direction, with strange wispy trees out of focus and concealed in fog in the distance. The suggestion is of a land of magic where bears and wolves are friends.

Graphic reading, “The difference between ‘There used to be hot summers too.’ and climate crisis.” Below is a temperature-anomaly chart showing mostly blue, cooler-than-average years in the earlier record, shifting dramatically toward sustained red, warmer-than-average years in recent decades. Occasional earlier red bars are labelled “These were hot summers,” while the sustained cluster of increasingly warm recent years is labelled “This is climate change.”

A face-on barred spiral galaxy anchored by its central region. It has a bright yellow circular area surrounded by a lighter yellow diagonal bar structure made of a haze of stars, which forms an angled oval toward the top. The central core and bar fill about a third of the image. Two distinct spiral arms made of stars, gas, and brown filamentary dust lanes start at the center and extend to the edges, rotating clockwise. The farther the arms are from the central region the easier it is to see bright blue clusters of stars, which appear as pinpricks. The darkest areas of the arms are two large dusty arcs that start at the central region. One to lower left extends toward the top and the second starts at the top-right and extends to the bottom. The background of space beyond the galaxy appears dark gray. There are some fine red points of light toward the bottom half and top right. A triangular area at center-right is black, reflecting where there isn't any data.
