You THINK you’ve avoided spending time with creeps. Then you find out (as I did a year ago) that a man - a teacher, a family friend for 20 years, funny and kind - has been convicted for viewing child sex abuse material. It destroyed my confidence and mental health last autumn because he fooled us.

It was unwatchable. Goodness knows what the casting team and the editors thought they were doing this time, trying to blow up bizarre characters on episode 1, rather than allow personalities to emerge across the series. Especially as all this ep needed to do was integrate Nigella into the show.

A couple of years ago I went to Reading Museum as I had a couple of spare hours before meeting someone. I didn’t even know it had a copy of the tapestry. I was the only person there - had the whole glorious thing to myself. No shuffling along in a jammed queue. And entrance was free!

Pervert glasses are being used for criminal behaviour by schoolboys as well as by adult men across the world. They not only secretly film but also actively harrass girls and women, then post videos of the harassment and the women’s reactions - including fear, upset and anger - on social media.

The big question for me is how we reduce the huge amount of domestic violence that happens after football matches. This doesn’t happen after other sports. The govt has a ‘strategy and vision’ to halve violence against women and girls. Is adding alcohol into football stadiums going to help that?

Unfortunately Daniel Thomas is such a very common name in the UK that some media organisations think using his AKA makes it clear which one. Another Dan Thomas, who was leader of Reform UK in Wales, has just had to stand down after being arrested on suspicion of assault and coercive behaviour.
