19th March 2021 Jesus Green Lido is one of Europe's longest outdoor swimming pools and five years ago it was being filled with water for the new season. It took nearly a whole week for it to fill.

On a top 10 of really hard to understand things that previous generations did, demolishing the lidos is up there with ripping out fireplaces to put in three bar electric heaters. This one would have been five minutes' walk from my house.
