Figured I'd mention this as I had done patches for the PC 1.5/2.5 collection to restore the PS4/XB1/pre-2024 PC textures a while back

...DDS compression method for the textures from what I can tell. They aren't too noticeable to most casual players but still. EGS PC port had them from 2021-2024, but got updated to use the upscaled ones when the Steam port released. Switch 1/2 texture quality appears the same as PS4/XB1's.

I believe this is due to file-size reasons and not console specs (PC 1.5 + 2.5 is 71.8GB with the upscaled textures, without them it's 58.4GB) The PS3 version still has the best texture quality though, as the PS4/XB1 version introduced some artifacting since they changed the...

Apparently VGE hid the comment I left under his video. Here it is for anyone who wants to see it, as it seems to clearly bother him that someone wants to hold him even slightly responsible for the major damage he's been doing and continues to do this scene.

Not putting any sort of disclosure in the thumbnail or the description that this isn't from the actual team that made the tooling (which this uses and is the only reason it works) and the existing Banjo port is a new low for this channel.

This port is NOT associated with us. It is entirely AI-generated. Both Zelda: Recompiled and Banjo: Recompiled have very clear No AI stances. We have not, do not and will not use AI to ever work on these projects.

Your irresponsible reporting is exactly the sort of behavior I've told you about that completely hurts the scene and the entire reason why people keep pumping out these projects just so they get their 10 minutes of fame in your videos.

I still see a lot of confusion about what decompilation, recompilation and ports are and what level of effort is involved in each type of project. It's important that people understand the difference, as recompilation took a drastically different meaning that when it was originally introduced.

Originally wanted to port the KH2FM's Twilight Town sandlot map but I had issues with it, so I ended up going with 358/2 Days' version instead. And while at it I went ahead and made it look like a PS1 game for the most part
