Twitch's "Allow your channel content to train generative AI models" setting is here and on by default. Go turn that shit off, streamer!! The toggle is under your Settings, then 'Security and Privacy'

My parents were low income so I often just browsed game shops as a kid. Sometimes mum let me get a game. It'd cost her whole day's wage and a chunk of our rent. Dad once told me to check under the car seat and Pokemon Red was there in a bag. Ownership isn't the only thing we lose with physical media

Because more and more websites are implementing anti-scraping measures, and if AI cannot continually steal and scrape it begins cannibalizing it's own training data, spiraling into entropy lol This is why it isn't a luddite situation. It needs to actively keep consuming or the algorithm fucks up

we really need to standardize crediting artists. especially in an era where so much ai slop is being put out there if your promo art isn't ai? prove it. give the damn artist some credit. easy fix it even saves the company some small amount of face if it's the artist who used ai. everyone benefits.
