Tonight's Columbo, a murder before the credits have even kicked in and a cast of names I'm completely unfamiliar with, but that's fine! It doesn't always have to be some big "ooh, it's celeb of the week!" all the time. I wasn't too familiar with Culp's screen presence before a few weeks ago!

Thing that fascinates me about this guy is that he's got the general vibe and talent of a particularly useless early 00s webcomic creator, one who's got a load of wild and unreasonable grudges and can't fucking wait to mock them as gross caricatures while his heroic self insert ponders wisely.

I've kind of made it my thing to stump for Halloween Ends, a film I think is fantastic for 95% of its runtime (the other 5% being where it just blows past a decent horror movie ending in favour of a pretty silly fight and a happy end).

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.
