The only ecosystem that has the correct understanding about this is #Clojure. Clojure libs don't break. They just make a new function or new lib when they want to change behaviour. "Deprecated" warnings ok, but why in the world do you delete anything? This stuff is used in prod by people.

The `j` in `conj` is the same `j` as in `Clojure`! It is the modern Lisp, hosted on the jvm. Abstractions at the bottom. One of the fundamental functions in Lisp, `cons` works on lists. In clojure, the equavlent is `conj` (clojurified) and works on the seq abstraction.
