@emmaruthrundle.bsky.social Happy release day! Bandcamp still doesn't seem to have automatic releasing, so the album is still listed as a pre-order, so only 2 tracks can be downloaded. I think you have to press some some sort of "release the album" button somewhere.

iOS27: still can't shuffle a playlist by album. I also tried getting Siri to do it but it said it couldn't find the playlist. Music for iOS continues to be a substandard disappointment. Siri still doesn't do what it needs to. No wonder they let iOS27 slide out without fanfare.

watched a couple of things with the kid yesterday that coincidentally both had: 1. Christopher Walken. 2. A character sending another version of themself a warning message. The first was Rose Of Nevada ("get off the boat now"), the second was Severance ("never come back here").

Just spent about 10 minutes nerding out about Automated Material Handling with one of the librarians at our newly-reopened @multcolib.bsky.social library. Talking about book transportation and storage is a lot cooler than I was expecting.

While I do love The Bobby Lees, and I know they were on hiatus for a while, but still… four years wait for an eight-track (including one cover version) new album that clocks in at 20 minutes does feel a little on the light side.

On track to achieve @hollywoodtheatre.org's Can You Watch 100 Films In A Year challenge. As of 31st May, I've watched 74 films on the big screen totaling 136 hours and 49 minutes. Of those, 56 films at 98 hours and 58 minutes where at The Hollywood.

I saw The Man Who Fell To Earth at @omsiedu.bsky.social at the weekend. Apparently, Bowie was so thin that they had to get his clothes from children's departments. Which is ironic as the film's production designer is called Brian Eatwell. Perhaps they should have hired Catherine Stayofftheblow.

Just one public-facing Facebook page with a grainy photo of him & a note saying he died in 2021. Ho hum.

@hollywoodtheatre.org Before Lady Snowblood, Chloe told people not to talk + also not to whisper as people can still hear you. THANK YOU! I'm so tired of people talking + whispering during films. Maybe you could add her "enjoy yourself but shut up!" comment to the end of the "no phones" intro thing.

@hollywoodtheatre.org Hello. Sometimes at the end of the night, on the tables near the entrance, there are free bags of popcorn and a post-it note saying Free Corn. Have you considered replacing the post-it with a large cardboard cutout of Missy Elliott with a speech bubble saying Get Ur Free Corn?

On this day 55 years ago, blubber went boom at the Oregon Coast. That's when officials made the legendary decision to blow up a dead whale. Here's a look back at the explosive piece of Oregon lore with a 2020 story by OPB's Tiffany Camhi written ahead of the whale of a tale's 50th anniversary.

The exploding whale is a piece of Oregon lore that just won’t go away. It’s one of those real-life stories that just sounds too strange to be real.

If Apple's mandated RTO is what gave us liquid glass, that's an exceptionally strong argument that RTO achieves almost nothing in terms of quality improvement. Less than a year until iOS 27 and hopefully much less liquid glass. Preferably none, but that's not going to happen, I assume.
